On Tuesday, 12th January 2010, an earthquake registering 7.0 on the Richter scale hit the island of Haiti in the Caribbean and over 250,000 people were killed in under a minute, with millions instantly losing homes and loved ones. The Zanmi Project aims to help a community on the outskirts of Haiti’s capital, Port au Prince, by providing a healthy environment in which children and adults can get access to aspects of life that we take for granted: shelter, education, food, clothing, medical attention and care. This project is focussed around the construction of an orphanage, a dormitory for volunteer workers, school and classrooms.  All contributions will help to rebuild the lives for all associated with this small community.
