Another week, another cream claiming to turn back time and turn you into a younger you. I’ve heard it so many times that it’s hard to believe all the claims that some products throw at you.
On this occasion, the brand was Filorga, so I was more inclined to take note. This French Laboratory has been developing high-performance anti-aging skincare products (hyaluronic acid injections, anti-aging mesotherapy, glycolic peelings) since 1978 and so far, their portfolio really does make a difference.
I was lucky enough to attend the launch event (with Little M) and get to hear firsthand about this new wonder product. Now that I am in my 40’s I have become a little skeptical. I know my skin, how it works and what it needs and I can’t be convinced easily that something is going to work.
From the second I felt a tiny amount on my fingers, I liked it. I smoothed it on to the back of my hand (which unashamedly, shows my age) and I instantly could tell that this was something special. The representatives said “experience complete skin rejuvenation at the speed of light, ” and I believe them. It wasn’t greasy, it instantly moisturised and tighten my skin. It felt nourished without feeling heavy and my skin was instantly improved.
Here’s the science bit:
Filorga’s new beauty innovation, Skin-Absolute Day rejuvenates the skin by harnessing the benefits of natural daylight (its exceptional energy) to combat its adverse effects (photo-ageing). An innovative solution and result of cutting edge skincare technology from Filorga, Skin-Absolute Day has the immaculate texture of the white sapphire, its most precious ingredient. Its formula accelerates the skin cellular functions during the day by catching and enhancing the most powerful energetic source (daylight) for an overall and increase anti-aging effect on wrinkles, dark spots, firmness, radiance and skin texture.
I’ve been using the cream for 10 days now and I am starting to see some improvement. I don’t expect anything to take 20 years off, but if I can look the best version of me, I would be very happy. So far…thumbs up!
